This is the I-69 Recreational Heritage Route in Southern Michigan; a two-county, eighty-mile storybook telling stories about the connections between people and the land. The land surrounding the highway is a patchwork of relationships; the highway itself is the connecting thread in the colorful fabric of recreational and agricultural experiences.
Whether you choose to experience this region as a spectator or a participant we hope you will be inspired to pause and give thought to how land does not belong to us; we belong to the land.
"There are two things that interest me: the relationship of people to each other, and the relationship of people to the land."
Aldo Leopold
